Governor Ernie Fletcher announced money for various community projects in Barren County.
Nearly $5 million will go toward road improvements, agriculture, and community corrections programs.
More than $3 million is going to the resurfacing of the Louie B. Nunn-Cumberland Parkway. Another $400,000 is going to agricultural diversification.
Fletcher also presented a check for more than $35,000 to Barren and Metcalfe counties for the community corrections program.
Fletcher made the announcement at the 86th annual Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce Dinner on Feb.5, 2007.
