The Middle Bridge Road area in Warren County will be rezoned from agricultural to residential land.
Middle Bridge properties wanted to divide 97 acres of that land into 65 one-acre lots.
Last November of 2006, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the rezoning but residents in that area say that’s too densely populated and would cause several quality of life problems.
They disputed the rezoning proposal in Warren Fiscal Court and made recommendations to divide the land into three-acre lots. The Planning and Zoning Commission also made recommendations on how the property developer could revise its plan.
“The revised conceptual plan shows that no lot will be less than one acre. Some lots will be one-point-six acres along Middle Bridge Road and its conceivable, other lots will be larger than that,” said Whayne Priest with Middle Bridge Properties, LLC.
The Warren Fiscal Court met this morning, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, and voted three to three on the issue. This means the recommendation that the Planning and Zoning Commission made to rezone the area will become law Feb. 14, 2007.
