Students are mourning today, after two Breckinridge County teens were killed this weekend in a single car crash.

According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened at the intersection of KY-259 and Highway 79 at around 1:30 Sunday morning, in the Rough River area.

Former Breckinridge County High School quarterback and Class of 2009 Matthew "Chase" Colyer and his passenger, BCHS Senior Kalyn Whitworth were killed when Colyer lost control of his car and struck a utility pole.

Whitworth played basketball and softball at the school.

Arrangements are pending at this time, but Whitworth's family asks that donations be made to the Breckinridge County High School Athletic Department.
