Kentucky State Police were called to Mt. Olivet Road just after 8 p.m. Sunday night.
They found 30-year-old Alfred Michael suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the Medical Center where he later died.
Fifty-seven-year-old Robert Shirley is now charged with murder. He's being held without bond in the Warren County Regional Jail.
Authorities are not releasing a motive but say it was a personal matter.
