When it comes to testing students in Kentucky, the state is getting an "A."

The journal "Education Week" reviewed every state in the country and gave Kentucky an "A" for their state testing system known as "CATS." Kentucky is one of the best of eight in the nation.

The state didn't fare so well when it comes to providing schools with the money needed to meet state education goals. They ranked 35th among the nation.

The study found that Kentucky needs to spend at least 750 million more annually for schools to reach state goals.
