Children First: Author Visits

By  |

Some area students are putting their pens to paper in hopes of becoming the next J.K. Rowling.

Tuesday, an award winning children's book author visited Rockfield Elementary hoping to turn students into storytellers.

Author Dale Smith talked with students about the importance of vivid writing to tell a story. Students had the chance to ask questions and learn the difference between a noun and verb.

Smith grew up in Drakesboro and has been writing for eleven years. He has published nine books with the help of his daughter.
