Kentucky's Supreme Court is urging you to vote "yes" on a new constitutional amendment. The amendment would allow for the formal establishment of Family Courts statewide.
Currently 22 Kentucky counties, including Warren, already have Family Court pilot programs. However, more than 2.5 million citizens do not have access to the new court system.
Kentucky's Supreme Court Chief Justice, Joseph Lambert, calls the new system the most important improvement in a quarter of a century. Lamberts says the new system gives children and families the highest priority, by moving them ahead of murder cases and automobile accidents.
Voters will make the ultimate decision on this November's general election ballets.
