Schools Encouraged to Use Savings

Even though the sate has not announced any budget cut yet many educators are already preparing to make more sacrifices.

This week state lawmakers suggested that if schools faced any more cuts that they could be paid for with a school district's extra savings, but most school districts say they need that money for emergencies. One of the programs that are expected to be hurt by the deficit is the Family Resource Center.

Gov. Fletcher will not give his final budget recommendation until next Tuesday.
