The moving process is underway for Franklin's 911 system. It is being moved into the facility that houses the county sheriff's office and part of the jail.
It should be operational in a couple of months. Franklin and Simpson County voted to consolidate services.
There was some controversy over funding, but a new surcharge is being added to phone bills to help absorb the cost.
