Misguided text messages led to the arrest of a western Kentucky teacher.
Thirty-four-year-old Ann Greenfield is accused of trying to buy pot from a state trooper.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Barry Meadows says Trooper Trevor Pervine was getting text messages about buying marijuana Thursday night. The person sending the messages had the wrong number.
Pervine thought the messages were from friends playing a joke. After he found out the messages were real, he began responding to set up a meeting.
Greenfield found Pervine and other law enforcement officers waiting for her when she arrived at the meeting point.
Greenfield has been suspended with pay from her job at Murray Middle School pending an investigation.
