Iraqi Girl Rape Case

Lawyers for an Army soldier say the soldier was not involved in planning the rape and murder of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl.

Private First Class Jesse Spielman faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole if convicted on rape and murder charges in the attack last year.

Twenty-two-year-old Spielman is one of five soldiers with the Fort Campbell-based 101st Airborne Division charged in March 12th attack near Baghdad.

Two of the soldiers have already pleaded guilty in the case.
