Leaders at Community Education in Bowling Green are encouraging people who use the program to write their state legislators.
Community Education is a program that helps families with all types of subjects like after school activities or computer training.
In Gov. Fletcher's recent budget recommendation, community education would be removed. Now, program leaders are hoping state lawmakers will help since they ultimately make the final decision.
The budget is not officially passed though until April. Community Education workers are optimistic the program will be saved.
