Health officials are investigating a death in western Kentucky to see whether it is related to swine flu.
Gwenda Bond, spokeswoman for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, said Thursday that state officials are working with the Pennyrile District Health Department to investigate a death in Caldwell County.
Bond says tests to determine whether it was swine flu are expected back by early next week. Bill Myers with the Crittenden County Coroner's Office told WPSD-TV that a 13-year-old girl who lives in Caldwell County died Wednesday in Marion after being taken to the hospital with flu-like symptoms.
