Warren County's County Attorney Mike Caudill is under investigation by the Kentucky Attorney General's office for misuse of public funds.
A team of investigators from Frankfort served a search warrant at the County Attorney's office in downtown Bowling Green on Tuesday afternoon, and seized a series of financial records. Those records will now be audited by state Auditor Crit Luallan, a process expected to take several days.
WBKO has learned someone brought concerns and allegations regarding activities at the County Attorney's office to the attention of the Commonwealth Attorney's office, which then directed the inquiry to the Attorney General.
Along with the Attorney General's office, the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit, the Bowling Green Police Department, and the Warren County Drug Task Force.
Mr. Caudill has been unable to be reached for comment, and no one connected to the investigation is commenting.
