Lil' Angels Attic

A consignment sale set to begin this week raises thousands for local organizations.

Volunteers for Lil' Angels Attic began collecting merchandise from their sellers today, Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007.

Thirty percent of every item sold goes to local charities and ministries that support children and families.

There is also a Heaven Sent donation that allows shoppers to add a dollar at the door.

Logan's League is a charity named after 5-year-old Logan Byard, who passed away in January 2007. Logan was born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which compromised the function of his heart and lungs.

"They're gonna be using that money to help families with chronically ill children here in town and provide support for them," said Deana Douglas, a Lil' Angels Attic volunteer.

Lil' Angels Attic has raised over $129,000 for local charities in the past five years.

You can visit the sale from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007, and 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007. The sale is being held at the Broadway United Methodist Church in Bowling Green.

For more information on the sale, you can call (270) 843-3942 extension 137.
