Amanda Ledbetter is back in school this summer but its not for summer school. It’s for a summer science academy. A group of students from grades fourth through seventh meet for four days in the summer and work on different science projects. The academy is being at Warren Central High School.
So far students have made hot air balloons and raced magnetic cars. Doug Jenkins, the teacher in charge of the academy, says it’s a great way to reinforce what kids learn in school. This is the second year for the academy.
