The lawyer for Warren County Attorney Mike Caudill says his client is innocent, will cooperate with investigators, and will continue to work during a probe into allegations he allegedly misused public funds.
A team of investigators from the Attorney General's office have served at least two warrants and seized reams of documents and computer files during multiple visits to the County Attorney's office during the nearly two-week-old probe.
Caudill, a 25-year veteran of the office, has been unavailable for comment since the investigation began. David Broderick, longtime Caudill friend and his lawyer for this matter, says his client has been to the office as recently as Monday, and will continue to be paid for and perform official duties during the investigation despite having appointed a principal assistant to run the day-to-day operations of the office temporarily.
