Fifth grade science teacher Jackie Decker got a quite a surprise from the "Helping Your Hometown Partners.” One of her students, Zac Mello, nominated her for the grant, and she won. The class is planning to use the money to replace the hamster that recently died, which they will use during their studies of changing habitats. They also plan to fund the school and class newsletters that are completely student-produced. The Hometown Partners are made up of WBKO, Leachman Buick GMC and Greenview Regional Hospital.
