Friends, family members and students at WKU gathered at Van Meter Hall Friday night to remember the young women killed Saturday on I-65. The service celebrated the lives of Rachel Blevins, Rachel Cate and Katie Jeter.
The Phi Mu sorority sisters' lives were cut short when their vehicle slammed into a rock wall near Upton last Saturday morning. All three funerals were held earlier this week, but not everyone could attend all three.
University officials say this service was a chance for the university to say goodbye to the young women. The program featured special music, a slide show and messages from WKU President Gary Ransdell, the campus minister and members of the Phi Mu Sorority.
