Barbara Mueller represents a group of concerned citizens who are unhappy with the conflict between Cave City city employees and the city council.
The problems first began when the city council took away police cell phones. The groups are also in opposition about the use of police vehicles.
Mueller and other concerned citizens started the petitions because they feel the city council is not acting in the best interest of the residents of Cave City.
The petitions call for the city council to change what they're doing. If that doesn't work the petition demands the Cave City city council members resign.
Mueller thinks the council should start focusing on the issues impacting cave city today and in the future because she feels the council is ignoring other important issues.
Mueller is not alone. She collected 200 petitions Saturday morning alone, and has a total of nearly 500.
The results of the petitions will be presented to the council on Monday evening.
Mueller says if the council refuses to recognize the petition the next step will be presenting the petitions to the Commonwealth Attorney's office in Frankfort.
