As part of a routine training program, the BGFD prepared for real-life emergencies Wednesday at the old Bowling Green Junior High School.
Some of the techniques included gaining entry into locked metal doors.
Firefighters reviewed basic fundamentals like searches and rescues, even from multi-floor environments.
Firefighters told WBKO these sessions are held as often as they have a place to train, and are extremely helpful.
"It helps build confidence. By training, you don't have to think about what you're going to do in these situations. You just respond and fall back on your training," says Jim Morrow.
