Several of the Warren County Sheriff's finest were honored for their bravery during a hostage situation on Kentucky Street back in August.
At the Warren County Fiscal Court Meeting on March 12, 2007, eight employees of the sheriff's department were given certificates of appreciation for their work during a stand-off and hostage situation involving Matthew Griffin.
Captain Tommy Flora, Sergeant Maxie Jones, Deputy Keith White, Deputy Steve Morris, Deputy Craig Beckmann, and Deputy Chris Shelton all received certificates of appreciation. Captain Tony Chism received the Medal of Valor, Sergeant Maxie Jones received the Silver Cross, and Deputy Time Robinson received the Save a Life Award.
