The EITC is designed for single or married parents who work full or part time and some adults without children may also qualify. There are a couple of ways to find out if you are eligible for the EITC.
You can log on to www.irs.gov/individuals to find more information about the earned income tax credit, which is available in English or Spanish. There is also free tax preparation and filing assistance available across the state to low income and older Kentuckians, to find the site closest to you contact the IRS helpline at 1-800-829-1040.
