Glasgow Man Faced Mental Evaluation

The court will see a written mental health report before it makes a ruling in the case of a Glasgow man accused of shooting his wife and sister-in-law.

Dickie Thomas, 56, was in Barren Circuit Court March 12, 2007, for a status hearing. He was indicted August 2006 on counts of attempted murder and assault.

Thomas is accused of firing a shotgun at his wife and sister-in-law in July of 2006, leaving them with several gunshot wounds.

His defense is waiting on a written mental health report and the Commonwealth wants the State Psychiatric Center to examine Thomas.

Dickie Thomas will appear in court again March 26, 2007, to see if the report has arrived.
