Work on the St. Jude Dream Home is officially underway. Patients from St. Jude Children’s Hospital, along with Doug Marten’s and Stewart-Richey Construction companies, took part in the ground-breaking this morning at Olde Stone.
“We felt like ... Doing a terrific job,” said Rita Scott, who donated this year’s lot.
The house will value at about $400,000, with four bedrooms, four full-baths and a two-car garage.
You can get tickets for the Dream Home beginning May 16, 2007, at Houchens Markets, IGA and Hancock Fabrics. The money raised goes to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, to help find cures and save children with cancer and other illnesses.
