A little motivation goes a long way towards helping today's youngsters reach a bright tomorrow. That's one of the main goals of the Boys & Girls Club of Bowling Green. For year's they've been helping young people to meet their full potential, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
On February 23, the Boys & Girls Club hosted its annual appreciation dinner program. That tradition of helping young people continued, as recognizable faces from all over the community spoke up to help inspire the coming generation. One of those familiar faces was former WKU Football Center Daniel Withrow.
Although he's best known for being a part of Western's Championship Football team, Withrow credits the Boys & Girls Club for giving him a good start. In fact, not too many years ago, Withrow was honored as the Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Year.
