If you're pregnant or just thinking about having a baby, a new South Central Kentucky organization has all the resources you need to ensure your best chance for a healthy pregnancy.

Baby Net is a coalition of professionals with different specialties ranging from preconception and childbirth to postpartum and parenting.

This network provides resources and education for its members in order to better support families in the community during the pregnancy process.

The coalition started in July of 2006 and is already providing educational opportunities and promotional events available to anyone in the ten county region.

These are just a few of the professionals that make up the Baby Net coalition.

Connie Dickson is a lactation consultant and said this network helps her do her job better.

A Western nursing instructor, Shelia Catlett, is also part of the Baby Net Coalition.

She said this type of continuing education for professionals creates a positive trickle down effect.

Continuing education and resources for its members and the community isn't the only service Baby Net coalition provides.

Baby Net provides all of these resources to the community in hopes that families will make better decisions during what can be a very overwhelming time.

Baby Net hopes to diversify its group by expanding its current membership of 21 professionals, to include even more child-related professionals with different specialties.
