Police are asking for your help as they look for a man they say abused a baby boy.
Monticello police say they responded to a call on Monday morning, and found a nine-month-old baby boy with bruises and burn marks on his body and learned the mother’s boyfriend had beaten the baby.
The baby was taken into custody and treated at an area hospital. The baby's mother, 27-year-old Christina Barker, has been arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse. She is lodged in the Wayne County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
But police are still looking for her boyfriend, the man they believe to be responsible for the abuse. Twenty-four-year-old Juan Luis Angueira Muniz, a.k.a. "Juan Raphael," is a Hispanic male, with dark skin and dark hair. He's approx. 5'7" and weighs about 145 pounds.
Police believe he may have fled the state and may be on his way to Georgia or Michigan. Police also say Juan Raphael may be using another alias.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Juan Raphael, you're asked to contact the Monticello Police Department at (606) 348-9313, or contact your local police department.
