The people of Warren County had the chance to voice their opinions, concerns, and possible solutions to Warren County's proposed insurance premium tax on Saturday.
Many people we spoke too say they aren't too thrilled with the possibility of a new tax.
"I don't know where I am suppose to find that in my budget. It's hard for me to believe that no where in the county budget they can't find a single penny they they can't cut or move around", says Warren County resident Anne Daniel
Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon says it's helpful for the Fiscal Court to hear from the community.
This proposal would affect almost all types of insurance, except health insurance, which would be exempt.
Buchanon says after looking at the numbers, the possible tax could be lowered from 10 percent to five.
Magistrates will be available to hear public opinion on the new tax and other alternatives again on Sunday.
The meeting will be held in the Fiscal Courtroom in the old Warren County Courthouse from one to three.
The second reading of the ordinance will be at a special Fiscal Court meeting at nine a.m. Monday morning.
If it passes, the insurance premium tax will go into effect on July first.
