Students at T.C. Cherry Elementary are also trying to do good things. Through a program called Cherry Cares the kids are collected items for care packages. The packages will go to hospitalized elderly and child patients. The Insight Leadership Team is sponsoring the project. Students have to write a report on their goals for the project and what they think is the best part.
Peyton Johnson says it's rewarding. "It just makes me feel good inside because I know I've made people [happy] in the hospital."
If you'd like to help, they are accepting small new combs, new toothbrushes, new toothpaste, lotion, story books, crossword puzzles, ink pens, crayons, shampoo, soap, and stuffed animals.
