A 59-year-old Hopkins County man who fled the Warren County Jail in December 2005 is sentenced by a judge. The U.S. attorney’s office reports Joseph Hopkins of Nortonville was sentenced in Louisville for the escape.
Hopkins admitted that in 2005 he fled while on work release. Hopkins was serving a seven year prison sentence for interstate domestic violence.
Judge Thomas Russell has now given Hopkins a three years and a month in prison for leaving work detail.
