An area woman found a baby in an alleyway in Bowling Green. Lois Long was walking her dog when she saw a baby girl in the alleyway behind Grandma's Attic in Bowling Green. At first, Long thought the baby was a doll until she touched the baby and the baby started crying.
Long says she doesn't usually walk through the alley, but since her dog Rowdy was extra "rowdy" that morning, they went the back way to avoid traffic. Workers at area businesses say if Long had not come through that morning, the baby may have not been found before it was too late.
Once Long found the baby, she took her home to dry her off. Since the Longs don't have a phone, they couldn't call the police. They took the little baby straight to the hospital where doctors say she had a slight fever.
