A Glasgow woman is back in jail tonight after allegedly trying to flee the country. More than a week ago, 21-year-old Tamara King was arrested and accused of abusing her three-year-old son. Police say King's parents brought the child to the police station with severe burns, bruises, and red marks.
Glasgow Police say she made bond at 1,500 dollars cash and tried to leave the country with her boyfriend, Johnny Reece. Reece was also wanted by police after they learned he was also allegedly abusing the little boy. After hearing the couple may flee the country, police followed a friend of King's who led them to the pair in Tennessee. Upon investigation police learned the two had plans to go to Mexico.
The two are now being held at the Barren County Detention Center. King's bond was set at $25,000 cash. Reece on the other hand was arraigned in court this morning and is being held without bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court sometime later this month.
