Burger King Shooting Autopsy Results

The preliminary results indicate Ronnie Reece died as a result of severe trauma sustained from falling into a ravine.

Shots fired at Reece by a Bowling Green Police officer were determined to be non-life threatening injuries. Police said Reece was attempting to rob the Burger King on Morgantown Road early Friday morning when employees were able to escape and flag down a police officer.

Bowling Green police officer Matt Davis saw Reece leaving Burger King and confronted him as he was climbing a fence. Police said the subject brandished a weapon and threatened to shoot the officer.

Officer Davis shot Reece twice.

Police said Reece then ran through a nearby mobile home park and into the Woods where he fell into a 50-foot ravine.

He was later pronounced dead at the Medical Center.

The investigation continues.
