Simpson County Cocaine Bust Largest in KVE's History

A stop by Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement leads to the largest cocaine seizure in the departments history.

KVE officers pulled over a vehicle for speeding on the night of March 26, 2007, on I-65 in Simpson county. After talking to the driver officers decided to investigate further. While searching the vehicle KVE found approximately 112 pounds of cocaine with a street value over $1.5 million.

Francisco Delacruz, 35,and Humberto Contreras, 36, were arrested and charged with trafficking of illegal narcotics.
