An Alvaton man is killed after gusty winds blew a tree on top of him.

Authorities say 25-year-old David Waddell died shortly after noon Friday.

According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Waddell was mulching leaves in a friend's yard when a tree fell on him from behind, killing him.

Visitation for Waddell will be held Sunday afternoon from four to nine with the funeral following Monday morning at eleven, all at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel.

It has been asked that expressions of sympathy be made to an education fund for Waddell's daughter, Allison, to 2946 Mt. Lebanon Church Road, Alvaton, KY, 42122.
