A man accused of holding a female informant against her will during a raid last month is arrested during a traffic stop in Tennessee.
According to the Warren County Drug Task Force, 47-year-old Lloyd Butch Skillern was stopped by a Whitehouse, Tenn. police officer on Saturday, March 31, 2007.
Skillern has been wanted since March 5, 2007. On that day the informant completed a controlled purchase of prescription drugs from Skillern. Following the sale he forced her to disrobe while he searched her for an electronic recording device. He then held her captive for more than half-an-hour and then fled the scene. She was unharmed in the incident.
Skillern was found inside a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Shylah Whirley of Bowling Green. Whirley was also wanted in Warren County on a charge of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.
Skillern is charged with kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence and trafficking a controlled substance.
Both Skillern and Whirley are lodged in the Sumner County Jail and waiting extradition to Warren County.
