It's time to rev up your engines and get ready for the Junior Achievement Mini-Corvette Challenge.
Twenty-eight corporate teams are going to compete for the gold cup. Students are also involved in the challenge, as each team is paired with a school. The school with the most students and staff in attendance on race day will be given $500.
Besides the race, the event provides a little something for everyone.
"We have a lot of activities. We try and get the whole family involved," said Heather Rogers, Junior Achievement president. "We have a children's area; we'll have concessions and a car show, so there's something for everybody."
The Mini-Corvette Challenge will be April 21, 2007, beginning at 9:30 a.m. It will be held in the Sears parking lot at Greenwood Mall.
