Some teens at an area high school are giving back to those who need extra help.
Bradley Whittaker is a junior at Greenwood High School and part of the football team. He recently encouraged other members of the team to donate toys for the Target House Donation Drive and the team donated eleven boxes full of toys.
All toys from the drive will go to the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“I encourage everybody to get out and give back to the community, because some people aren’t as fortunate as us,” Whittaker said.
The toys will be taken to the Memphis hospital during a special trip in two weeks.
If you would still like to donate, it isn’t too late.
Just drop off your donations to one of three locations during their regular business hours. Those locations are: Gary Force Honda, Forever Communications and our WBKO studio.
The toys will be taken to the hospital on Thursday, April 19, 2007.
