There were lots of smiles for adoptive families Monday night at Christ Episcopal Church.

The Two Rivers Region Annual Adoption Celebration was held in honor of families who finalized their adoptions this year.

It also came as adoption month was announced for November.

Our very own Laura Rogers introduced Darla Oglesby, an adoptive mother.

"It's just really neat to be here with all of these families that have adopted because adoption is just an incredible way to grow your family, and I think we all here can witness to that, that children are great blessings," said Oglesby.

As guest speaker for the night Oglesby shared her family's story of adopting two children, Liam and Nadia.
