I went to school with this young lady- Jr. High and High school. She has been nothing but a wonderful person to know. She has always been an inspiration for fellow classmates and her students. This is truly a situation of being in and with the wrong person at the wrong time. No one knows this woman situation, definitely a situation out of her character. Bowling Green is a small town that feds on the gossip and hurt of others at times. I hope that all of Carla’s friends and family stand by her and help her through these had times; as she would for her friends and family.
Carla is a good friend of mine, and I would let her teach my child any day! She is a great person, teacher, mother, and friend. Those who take only what they hear & run with it I don't blame you for your ignorance because that's all u know how to do. But for those of us who know, love, and trust her this is only a test because what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. I,m behind her 100% & have faith that truth will prevail.
First and formost I do not know this young lady personally however I do know that she is someones mother and that that she has went to school to better herself. Who are we to judge non of us are perfect we have all lived a life not so great at some point as well as been in situations we know we should have removed ourselves from. She was caught up in this crazy love triangle and did somthing in the moment that I know she regrets now. She was not thinking of her child nor her career which is what makes me angry about it but at the end of the day she is human and we have all made mistakes that we regret. Her getting that much time for that hurts bc people kill and sex offender torment and don;t get that much time. Plus I just would not want her to be away from her child for 5-40 yrs come on the. The system is backwards when it comes to certain things. Futher more comparing her to a teacher who has sex with her student is no comparison that is a sickness. Carla you are in my prayers!
Reading through some of these comments really disturbs me. The law states you are innocent until proven guilty. People should not make judgments when the verdict has not been read. I beleive Carla is the product of someone being associated with the wrong people; and therefore, she is considered an accessory. Carla has been nothing but a positive light for her students at BGJHS and has had their best interest. The allegations against her are just that, "allegations" not FACTS. She will overcome this by the grace of GOD!
The "background" referred to in the comments section is NOT Ms. Criswell's background, but that of Mr. Lowe. Ms. Criswell's background is one of a very talented teacher, and very good mother. All school employees undergo a rigorous criminal background check, and Ms. Criswell is no exception.
My thing is, people ae already judging her. neiether one of the BGJHS parents that have commented on here, know anything personal about carla or her life. You do not know her at all. You dont know if she did it or not. All you know is what you hear on the TV. How about you wait until the judge decides before you make a judgement. I am not saying that what she may have done is condonable, but everybody makes mistakes. no sin is greater than the other, so before you continue to dicredit her and whatever she may have done, maybe you should look at yourself and what you have done in your past. The only difference is, she got caught.
Crazy!!!
Good morning! I want to open with God's word, the road map for our lives. Proverbs 3: 5 reads "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 8: 7 reads, "For my mouth shall speak truth: and wickedness is an abomination to my lips." Proverbs 8: 13 reads "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate." I said all of that to say this...Ms. Criswell is somebody's child, especially God's child. She is hurting and so is her Bowling Jr. High family. We are supposed to support each other and not destroy others with our tongues. All we are is because of thee, all we are not is because of us. Be careful how we judge others, because if you haven't experience a storm in your life...you will one day. If we walk in total obedience with God..our lives, our tongues should line up with God's way. Bowling Green Jr. High needs our support and prayers during their "Midnight" hours.
Yes Ms Criswell was a teacher, however, just because 1 teacher behaves in this manner doesn't mean the rest of the teachers are involved in such matters. It's similar to the situations of teachers having sex with their students, it wasn't all the teachers, just 1! Ms. Criswell is human like the rest of us, she made mistakes and now will serve time for her crime and no longer be teaching our children. If you look at her boyfriend's arrest record, he has been incarcerated 12 times.
I agree,it is sad that we really have no idea what is going on in the schools. There needs to be more attention & observation with the teachers and less shopping on the internet.
Dont judge!
I had Ms.criswell as a teacher back when i was at the juinor high she was a nice lady even took me on my kya trip to louisville, I knever thought that a person like that would have such a background but i believe the the jail sentence is to long, imean its only 50 grams wats that worth like $1000 ,thers ppl that go to jal for only 20 years and they got caught with a whole kilo, im just saying i think the punishment is kinda harsh
Ms. Criswell was a teacher at BGJHS and I can only wonder how many more teachers we have teaching our children with this type of background. What kind of education are we giving our children these days?
