The Copaas General Store is the only place you can fill your tank or stomach for miles around.
Elizabeth Copaas's father opened the store 75 years ago. Since 1979, Elizabeth has run the business by herself. Mrs. Copaas has a short walk to work each day, her home sits ajacent to the business.
In addition to groceries, the general stores also carries farm supplies and tires. Up until 10 years ago, they sold shoes. Besides the basics, the store continues to serve as the social center for this small community.
However after many years of service, Mrs. Copaas is planning to scale back. After this year, she'll no longer be in the grocery business. Instead, she plans to only offer farming supplies.
