On Friday, Barren County joins a handful of other area counties in the Barren River district's ongoing effort to fight the H1N1 flu virus.
This afternoon, health officials in Glasgow administered vaccines to residents there.
These free flu clinics are set up for priority group residents like health care workers, pregnant women, children and those living with chronic health problems.
"We are offering the mist, which is nose spray to the people that are healthy, two to 49," says Gina Reid, Barren Co. Health Dept. Coordinator.
"That way we can save the injectable kind for the people with high risk that can not take the mist."
Barren County will host another free clinic next Friday, November 13th.
Remember, these sessions are by appointment only.
