Testing begins of the new reverse 911 system in the communities below Wolf Creek Dam.
The test will start on April 12, 2007, and end April 25, 2007, in Cumberland, Clinton, Monroe and Russell Counties.
The system will serve as a way of communication with the public during a potential emergency involving the Wolf Creek Dam.
Earlier this year, the Army Corps of Engineers classified the dam as high risk for structural failure. The level of Lake Cumberland has been lowered to work on the dam.
On Thursday, April 12, 2007, an automated message will be sent to random numbers from the four county area and then culminate into a full scale test.
