Santa Claus makes an early stop in Bowling Green this year but there's plenty to do for big kids too at this year's Christmas Village.

On Thursday the Bowling Green Country Club hosts the second annual event for holiday shoppers.

More than 35 local businesses are taking part setting up shops throughout the village.

Personal shoppers are there to help guests pick the perfect present and St. Nick himself is helping make this an exciting Christmas experience.

"All of your major cities have them. We thought 'why not start one here in Bowling Green,' and Bowling Green Country Club came to our aid, and we started with 17 vendors last year. We have 37 this year," said Jan Wade, Christmas Village host.

Christmas Village began Thursday morning at 11:00 and ran until 7:00p.m.
