Governor Steve Beshear's administration is not ruling out a possible special session later this year.

The Governor says in a written statement Thursday that if he does call a special session for later this year it would deal exclusively with economic development.

Special legislation may be needed in Kentucky's attempt to lure a Harley-Davidson motorcycle plant from Pennsylvania to Shelbyville.

Beshear says he's "very excited" by the possibility of Harley-Davidson opening a facility in Kentucky.

He says he's not sure whether a special session will be needed.

Harley-Davidson announced earlier this month it was considering the Shelbyville site.
