The parade is over. Today, April 12, 2007, was the last day for non-profit organizations and non-essential agencies in Warren County to appear before the fiscal court to plea not to have their funding cut.
Representatives of Operation PRIDE, Junior Achievement, Court Appointed Special Advocate) the Family Enrichment Center, the City County Planning Commission, Warren County Search and Rescue and the International Festival, all explained to the magistrates why the county should continue funding their programs.
For the second straight week Prime Time Events was scheduled to appear, but did not.
Warren County's Fiscal Court is looking for places to cut its budget, as magistrates struggle to overcome a projected $3.5 million shortfall.
