It’s been more than six months since two Ohio County women were found dead in a strip mine pit, and there are still no new leads in the case.
The bodies of Holly Harrison and Ashley Gilmore of Centertown, Ky., were found inside their vehicle last September 2007, nearly a week after they were reported missing.
Their car was submerged in stagnant water inside the pit, near their home.
Toxicology results revealed no substances were in their systems.
The cause of death for the two women is listed as drowning, but Kentucky State Police said the manner of death is suspicious in nature.
Investigators said they do not have enough evidence to charge anyone in the case at this time.
