Kurt Vonnegut, the author who became an oracle for the baby boomer generation, has died.
Vonnegut, author of literary classics such as "Slaughter House-Five" and "Cat's Cradle" died in a New York hospital April 11, 2007. Vonnegut had been hospitalized for several weeks after suffering brain injuries following a fall at his New York home.
His wife, Photographer Jill Krementz, was at his side when he died. Vonnegut was 84.
