Consumer Alert: Marathon Recalls Kerosene
Marathon Oil has warned customers that a significant risk of fire or explosion may result from using kerosene purchased from the 31E One Stop convenience store at 8180 New Gallatin Road in Adolphus in Allen County between Oct. 8 and Nov. 14.

Marathon Oil has warned customers that a significant risk of fire or explosion may result from using kerosene purchased from the 31E One Stop convenience store at 8180 New Gallatin Road in Adolphus in Allen County between Oct. 8 and Nov. 14.

The company stated in a news release Nov. 14 it has recalled kerosene purchased at the 31E One Stop between those dates because it may be mixed with gasoline.

Customers are advised not to use the product in heaters or any other application.

Marathon is arranging to pick up the kerosene and replace it or provide a full refund, the news release said.

Customers are advised to call Marathon at 1-800-892-3418 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. CST for more information about kerosene pickup and refunds.
